To create a NEW Pennywise Cashbook file:
Boot PENNYWISE and a FILE REQUESTER appears.
Select the Disk Drive/ Device and/or directory where you want to keep
the new files. You do this by selecting and clicking the DEVICE GADGETS
at the right of the requester. The directory is then read and displayed.
Having selected the path, TYPE in the proposed name of your file in the
'FILE' gadget at the bottom of the requester. Select & Click LOAD.
If the file does not exist, you'll be asked to confirm that the
file be created. Note that Pennywise creates some additional file with
the extension 'PWx".
Selecting an existing file is much the same, except that you select the file
name from the requester, rather than having to type it in. At this time the
onus is on you to select a valid file, or Pennywise exits.
NOTE: THE SUBSCRIBER VERSION OF PW WILL ALLOW YOU TO CREATE NEW FILES
BASED ON PREVIOUSLY DEFINED ONES!
See the 'ABOUT' option in the PROJECT MENU or click the 'VERSION'
option in the 'HELP' requester.
PENNYWISE now allows you to open new and existing account files at
any time during program execution. You'll find these options in
the 'PROJECT' menu.
